Gordonstoun
Gordonstoun Volunteer Support Unit is a former Grampian Fire and Rescue Service station situated at Gordonstoun School, Moray. Gordonstoun is special in that it is wholly crewed by students and staff from the school, making it the only school in the UK to have it's own fire station. The station has two bays and operates on a voluntary basis, generally requested by an Incident Commander through Operations Control (OC).
Due to the unique nature of the station's crewing, the unit is restricted from certain operations (e.g. rescues), to accomodate for this Gordonstoun's water ladder has had Breathing Apparatus and rescue equipment removed. The primary use for the unit is for the likes of hill fires, where extra personnel can be transported and the pump can ferry water to and from the incident. Generally, the only equipment used by the unit are more lightweight tools such as featherweight pumps.
The station also operates a Volunteer Support Unit (VSU), while the exact purposes haven't been sufficiently documented it does seem to carry similar light equipment to the pump.
