Command Support Unit

DESCRIPTION

SV17 MXX is a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Command Support Unit (CSU), built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a dedicated command and control area in the rear, allowing it to function as a mobile command center during large and complex incidents. The rear section of the vehicle has its own callsign, Q03C2.

Stationed at Altens Fire Station, the vehicle operates on a wholetime basis.

History

(Q01Y1) 2017: Appliance is newly allocated to North Anderson Drive fire station as a specialist rescue unit.

(Q03C1) 2023: Appliance is re-allocated to Altens fire station and changed to a command support unit.
